A lavishly illustrated guide to the collection of bridal gowns, each one a remarkable document of fashion and social history. A selection of 28 dresses from 1842 to 1969 each have a full page illustration, plus a full handlist of the entire wedding dress collection. Some of these dresses will be included in the new permanent Textile & Dress Gallery due to open late 2008.
